Some standard questions
Are your Bali Huts Waterproof?
Yes when installed correctly they are 100% waterproof. In the summer, they also lower the temperature underneath them by 10%
What height should my Bali hut be from the ground?
We recommend 2100 mm clearance from the underside of the beam.
I have never installed a Bali hut or Shingle Gazebo before, is it easy?
If you are handy and take your time, you will be able to complete your project successfully.
I would like to purchase a kit but I am not confident of installing myself. What can I do?
That’s ok, we are happy to recommend tradesmen in your area that can help you. Even if we don’t know anyone in your area, we will be happy to screen tradesmen to ensure they will be able to complete the installation for you.
What is your delivery time?
Well, it all depends on the time of year. Generally 2 – 4 weeks is a good indication.
Can you deliver Stone Carvings and Water Features?
Yes, we will quote you on an approximate delivery charge first.
What time are you open?
Our Display Centre is open from 7.30 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday, and from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
What kind of timber do you use?
We have found that the best timber to use in our kits by far is high grade Australian or New Zealand termite resistant treated pine. We source directly from the timber mills and are able to offer premium grade timber with few or no knots thus enhancing the quality of your structure.
A big misconception is that timber from Bali is better. Nothing could be further from the truth! Did you know that coconut posts are hollow and rot, not to mention termites love them!! So what are you after, a cheap Bali hut your local termites can have a feast on, or a quality structure that will last for years ??
Did you also know that due to climate and humidity changes Balinese coconut will split?? Yep, imagine 3 months after getting your new hut erected it all splits. Then you ring the company who installed it up for warranty and they tell you “Sorry, its not structural its just cosmetic"...
